Why Crafting and Art Improve Workplace Wellbeing

1/27/2026

Workplace wellbeing is a priority for businesses that want healthy, engaged, and motivated teams. As stress and burnout continue to rise, employers are increasingly looking for effective and enjoyable ways to support employee mental health. One of the most impactful approaches is also one of the most accessible: crafting and art in the workplace.

Creative activities have a great effect on wellbeing at work. Crafting helps employees slow down, step away from daily pressures, and focus on the present moment. This shift in attention reduces stress and anxiety while encouraging mindfulness in a natural way. Unlike traditional wellbeing initiatives, arts and crafts feel relaxed and enjoyable, making them more appealing and easier to engage with.

Art also supports productivity and focus. Taking time to be creative helps reset the mind, reducing mental fatigue and encouraging fresh thinking. Employees often return to work feeling calmer, more energised, and better able to concentrate. For many organisations, craft workshops have become a valuable part of workplace wellbeing programmes because they support both mental health and performance.

Crafting is also highly effective for building positive workplace culture. Creative workshops encourage conversation, connection, and laughter, helping teams bond in an inclusive and pressure-free environment. At Crafts and Giggles, we see how shared creativity strengthens relationships and creates a sense of belonging, which is essential for long-term employee wellbeing.

Another key benefit of crafting is the sense of achievement it provides. Completing a creative project gives employees something tangible to be proud of, boosting confidence and overall job satisfaction. Because crafting requires no prior experience and suits all abilities, it is an inclusive wellbeing activity that allows everyone to take part comfortably.

At Crafts and Giggles, we believe wellbeing should be joyful, not another task to manage. By combining creativity with giggles, our workplace craft workshops support mental health, strengthen teams, and bring genuine moments of calm and connection into the working day.

Investing in crafting and art is a simple yet powerful way for businesses to support workplace wellbeing and show employees they truly matter. For more details get in touch, we would like to help!

Why Craft Parties Are the Best Hen Party Activity for 2026

1/16/2026

Planning a hen party in 2026? If you’re searching for unique hen party activities that are fun, inclusive, and genuinely memorable, craft parties are quickly becoming the go-to choice — and for good reason.

At Crafts and Giggles, we’ve seen a huge shift away from traditional hen dos and towards creative, experience-led celebrations. Brides and their friends want something a little different: relaxed, laughter-filled, and meaningful. Craft parties tick every box.

Here’s why craft parties are set to be the ultimate hen party activity for 2026.

1. Craft Parties Are a Refreshing Alternative to Traditional Hen Dos

While bottomless brunches and bar crawls still have their place, many hens are now looking for alternative hen party ideas that feel more personal and less chaotic. Craft parties offer:

-A relaxed, social atmosphere
-Something everyone can enjoy, regardless of age or energy levels
-A chance to chat, laugh, and connect

They’re perfect for mixed friendship groups and ideal for brides who want a hen party that feels thoughtful.

2. Creative Hen Party Activities Everyone Can Enjoy

One of the biggest challenges when planning a hen do is finding an activity that suits everyone. Craft parties are naturally inclusive — no previous experience required. Whether it’s painting, decorating, or hands-on crafting, guests can:

-Take part at their own pace
-Be as creative (or as relaxed) as they like
-Enjoy the process without pressure

This makes craft parties one of the most stress-free hen party activities available in 2026.

3. Personalised Keepsakes That Last Beyond the Weekend

Unlike some hen party activities, craft parties leave guests with something tangible to take home. Each person creates a unique keepsake that becomes a lasting reminder of the celebration. For the bride, this means:

-Thoughtful, handmade items
-Memories tied to real moments, not just photos
-A hen party experience that feels meaningful and personal

4. Perfect for Daytime, Evening, or At-Home Hen Parties

Flexibility is key when planning hen party activities in 2026. Craft parties work beautifully for:

-Daytime hen parties
-Evening celebrations
-At-home hen dos or hired venues
-Weekends away or local gatherings

At Crafts and Giggles, we bring the party to you — making planning simple, seamless, and stress.

5. A Social, Instagram-Worthy Experience (Without the Pressure)

Let’s be honest — photos matter. Craft parties naturally create:

-Beautiful table setups
-Colourful, creative moments
-Genuine smiles and candid laughs

They’re Instagram-worthy without being staged, making them perfect hen parties where memories matter more than excess.

Why Choose Crafts and Giggles for Your Hen Party?

At Crafts and Giggles, we specialise in fun, relaxed craft parties designed specifically for hen dos. We handle everything — materials, setup, guidance, and the giggles — so you can focus on celebrating the bride. Our craft parties are:

-Perfect for all group sizes
-Easy to organise
-Designed to create unforgettable hen party memories

If you’re looking for hen party activities for 2026 that are creative, inclusive, and genuinely fun, a craft party with Crafts and Giggles is the perfect choice.

Get in touch today and let’s create a hen party full of laughter, creativity, and memories that last far beyond the weekend.

A Day of Creative Fun: Children’s Craft Activities at Newbury Racecourse

1/9/2026

At the end of last year, Newbury Racecourse was buzzing with excitement as families flocked to the venue for a memorable day of racing, entertainment, and hands-on creativity. Nestled within a vibrant Family Fun Zone, we had the absolute joy of running children’s craft activities.

The Family Fun Zone was alive with laughter, chatter, and the joy. Parents relaxed nearby while young racegoers rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into some wonderfully creative activities inspired by the magic of horse racing.

One of the most popular activities of the day was design-your-own rosettes. Inspired by the iconic racing prizes seen throughout Newbury Racecourse, children were invited to create their very own award to wear with pride.

Using bright stickers and plenty of imagination, each rosette became completely unique. Some children went for bold, rainbow-coloured designs, while others carefully crafted creations fit for a champion racehorse. Watching their faces light up as they pinned on their finished rosettes was truly lovely.

Not only was this craft fun, but it also gave children a brilliant keepsake from their day at the races, making the experience even more memorable.

Alongside the rosettes, children also had the chance to make adorable horse finger puppets — and they were an instant hit.

Throughout the day, the area stayed busy with families coming and going, adding to the lively atmosphere. The combination of racing excitement and family-friendly entertainment made it a standout event, proving once again that Newbury Racecourse is a brilliant destination for all ages.

Hosting children’s crafts at Newbury Racecourse for the third year running was an absolute pleasure. Seeing children being creative was a lovely reminder of how powerful creative experiences can be.

Thank you for having us! We’re already looking forward to bringing more creative moments at future events — and meeting lots of crafters along the way.
