We absolutely loved delivering a Christmas Ceramic Painting Party for the wonderful staff at The University of Bristol School of Arts as part of their Christmas celebrations. From the moment we stepped inside the venue, we knew this was going to be something special.
The party took place in a 1600s building, rich with history, character, and charm. There’s something incredibly magical about celebrating Christmas in a space like that – centuries-old walls, beautiful architectural details, and a cosy festive atmosphere that instantly made everyone feel relaxed. As tables filled with ceramic pieces and paints, staff gathered to unwind, laugh, and get creative together. It was a joy to see colleagues swapping brushes, sharing ideas, and having a good giggle as they painted their own unique designs. From traditional Christmas colours to bold, modern patterns. Ceramic painting is the perfect activity for a staff Christmas party – calming, creative, and sociable. It gave everyone the chance to slow down during a busy end-of-term period and enjoy some mindful creativity, all while chatting and connecting with colleagues in a relaxed setting. The combination of Christmas crafting, a historic venue, and a room full of enthusiastic staff made this event truly memorable for us at Crafts and Giggles. We left feeling festive, inspired, and grateful to have been part of such a lovely celebration. A huge thank you to the University of Bristol School of Arts for welcoming us so – what a perfect way to celebrate. We hope the ceramic creations bring a smile every time they’re used or displayed. If you’re dreaming of a creative, joy-filled Christmas party for your team, we’d love to help make it happen.

There’s something magical about stepping away from the desk, rolling up your sleeves, and letting creativity take the lead—especially during the festive season. This December, we had the pleasure of hosting two Christmas Corporate Craft Workshops - Festive Candle Painting and Christmas Grapevine Wreath Making at Lloyds Banking Group head office in London.
From the moment the tables filled with ribbons, foliage, paints, berries, and twinkling festive décor, the room buzzed with excitement. Colleagues from across departments gathered to unwind, connect, and dive into hands-on creativity—proving once again why corporate craft workshops are becoming one of the most popular additions to workplace wellbeing programmes. Candle Painting: A Creative Pause in a Busy Workday Day 1 was festive candle painting, choosing from traditional winter themes, Scandinavian-inspired patterns, and playful Christmas motifs. Laughter and chatter flowed as everyone embraced the joy of designing something both beautiful and personal. For many, it was the perfect mindful break—an opportunity to step away from screens and immerse themselves in creative fun. Activities like this are known to reduce stress, increase focus, and spark fresh thinking back at the desk. Christmas Grapevine Wreath Making: Crafting Together, Connecting Together Day 2 came the showstopper: Christmas grapevine wreath making. With bundles of foliage, clusters of berries, dried oranges, pinecones, and ribbons, each team member built their own wreath from scratch. The atmosphere quickly shifted from “How do I start?” to “Look at mine!” as confidence grew and everyone tapped into their inner maker. What made this moment extra special was the sense of community—colleagues helping colleagues, sharing ideas, and celebrating each other’s creations. Why Corporate Craft Workshops Are a Workplace Win The success of this event highlighted the benefits of weaving creative experiences into corporate culture: -Boosts team morale Crafting together encourages connection, laughter, and collaboration across teams and departments. -Reduces stress and supports wellbeing Hands-on creative activities activate relaxation, giving employees a much-needed mental reset. -Encourages fresh thinking Stepping away from routine work sparks new ideas, innovation, and problem-solving skills. -Creates memorable moments Unique, seasonal workshops like candle painting leave employees feeling valued and appreciated. -Enhances workplace culture Investing in fun, engaging team activities helps create a positive, people-focused environment. For companies looking to enhance employee engagement, corporate craft workshops are a powerful (and enjoyable!) way to inspire creativity and build stronger teams. The Lloyds Banking Group team embraced the spirit of the season wholeheartedly, and seeing their beautiful painted candles and handmade wreaths was the highlight. A BIG thank you for having us. If you're looking to bring more joy, creativity, and connection into your workplace, a corporate festive crafting workshop might be just what your team needs. On Saturday it was one of those heart-warming days... Crafts & Giggles hosted the loveliest baby shower craft workshop at The Pickled Berry in Poole, bringing together family, friends, giggles, and a whole lot of creativity in honour of a very special mum-to-be.
Crafting Memories: Origami Flowers for Mum-to-Be Our activity for the afternoon was beautiful—handmade origami flowers. Everyone gathered around chatting, creating, and helping each other fold shades of pink and green papers into delicate blooms. What made it even better was that everyone was creating something for the mum-to-be—a bouquet made with love, petals folded with care, and stems built with excitement for the little one’s arrival. Even those who claimed they had “no crafty bones” were pleasantly surprised at what they created! A Joyful, Festive Atmosphere The Pickled Berry was the perfect backdrop: cosy, charming, and full of warm light. There was a feeling of celebration in the air—Laughter filled the room, stories were shared, and the mum-to-was surrounded with so much love and support. And then… the afternoon tea arrived. Tiered plates of yummy sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and picture-perfect cakes made the day feel extra special. Every plate was as tasty as it was beautiful—truly the icing on the cake of an already special afternoon. Here’s to the mum-to-be, to the wonderful guests, and to many more days filled with crafts, giggles, and unforgettable moments. If you’d like to create a day like this for your own baby shower celebration, Crafts & Giggles would love to help make it magical! |
