Painting Party

We recently headed to Katie’s (the founder of Crafts and Giggles) old home village of Broadmayne to host a Painting Party for Emma’s 30th birthday celebrations.

It was a warm summer's day making it the perfect setting to get creative. We set up a mini easel and a canvas each ready for everyone’s arrival.

During the planning stages of the party, they suggested a seascape theme so in advance we asked everyone to bring along a photograph for inspiration. This was a great starting point relieving some initial anxiety.

We provided lots of different coloured paints and gave a short talk through some painting techniques to get them all going…and wow did they impress us! The natural ability and raw talent blew us away!

During the two hours everyone really went for it and painted pictures to hang with pride. It was a joy to watch unfold, this event is why we love what we do. Joyce who booked gave this feedback:

"We knew from the start that above all, this session was going to be a lot of fun! Katie's enthusiasm and knowledge is immediately evident. In two hours, she guided us expertly from the fear of putting paint to canvas through to producing pictures! Our skill level varied hugely - most of us hadn't done anything like this since GCSE Art. Katie provided EVERYTHING arty including a huge variety of paint colours, easel and canvas.
I had organised this as part of my daughters 30th birthday celebrations and it made me happy to watch her and her friends having such a fabulous time. I provided a few snacks and prosecco/soft drinks We laughed so much! Suitable for any age group - hen/stag do, birthday party or just a group of friends getting together.
