Easter Craft Treats by Ohidoliketobe

Hello! We are Gem and Maria from ohidoliketobe, a blog about crafting, searching for second-hand treasures, and living by the sea. We are delighted to be guest posting for ‘Crafts and Giggles’!

As spring is here (sort of!), we decided to make something for Easter. It is possibly our favourite time of year for several reasons; the candy coloured flowers, the longer evenings, and of course, the chocolate! So we made brown paper parcels filled with mini-eggs.

You will need the following:

Firstly, Gem folded some brown paper in half, and drew a simple chick/bird shape.

She then cut it out, and stamped ‘Happy Easter’ on one side.

I then stitched the edges by hand in the end...the machine didn't like!!

Make sure that you put the eggs in before you stitch it up fully. We also added a little string loop so that it could be hung up.

Then we had a little experiment with some other Easter motifs-the bunny was our favourite.

So, there you have it-a very easy and quick way to make some original Easter gifts. We also think this idea would work really well for wedding favours, kid’s party gifts and Christmas decorations. Have a go! Thanks for having us Crafts and Giggles! Gem and Maria x
